I cannot believe it has been a year since i moved to Mecca (Springfield Mo). Boy time does fly. It has been a great year. I have made some good friendships, have a job that i actually like, a good church, and so much more. i just wanted to say happy anniversary to me. :)

I have a something that bothers me. when you give a two week notice, that usually means you want to work two more weeks correct?? we had some one at work that turned in a two week notice, but said she did not want to be on the schedule for the last week. so what she did was only give a one week notice.

till i have another gripe or whatever i do.

Long time no post

It has been a while. did not realize it has bee so long.

nothing new going on. still working and going to school. have two more papers to write before the end of the month and then i will be done until school starts in late Aug/early Sept.

I did get a promotion at work, now i am a shift supervisor. i have no real power, the main thing is that i get a raise (sends me to a new tax bracket, and i pay more in taxes) and that i will have supervisory experience (whatever that means, i have worked for some people that needed more experience).

With God's Love

Memorial Day

On this Memorial Day weekend, i am reminded of something that Col Mims, commander of the ROTC unit at Tech at the time, said during the first class my freshman year (ohhhh so long ago). He said that in his opinion that serving your country was only second to serving the Lord.

what does serving the country mean?? i would be willing to say that most people tend to think only of being in the military. i on the other hand think that i means that we do our part to make this country to be a better place. the only way that i can see the US becoming better is by going back to our roots as a Christian nation.

we have gotten away from our foundation, and the cracks are starting to show. the only thing that will save America is the out pouring of the Holy Spirit that will cause the people to seek salvation. we have to be willing to get our hands dirty in the process. that means we have to reach out to those that are the sick, the poor, the hurting. we have to do something new, because we (the church) cannot continue doing the same thing. it is not working!!!!!

I will end with the poem that is on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

rather than "send," Christians need to "go" to the ones that need the Word the most.

Been a while since i have updated, nothing new. little over a third of the way through the classes for the summer. i am in class, trying to stay awake. when class is over i am going home and going to bed (i worked until 7a this morning).

I have been thinking about work a lot lately, and i am really enjoying the people i work with (the clients and some co-workers).

i learned that in order to be a liscensed Practical counselor in Idaho only requires 1000 hours of supervised practice, rather than the 2000 that MO requires. i kinda thought that was cool since i was wanting to move to ID after graduation anyway.

Nothing new. trying to enjoy the week off, and prepare for classes to start next week. it is all good. God is teaching me a few things, just have to remember them.
